This is a fascinating take on Donald Trump and the religious right (who voted for him in even bigger numbers than they did for Romney and McCain). Th summary is that they aren’t all that interested in religion as one might traditionally see it but more religion as a marker of race and nationalism. Here is a revealing quote from Bannon:
